OBJECTIVES OF KRISHNA VRUNDAVAN PRATISHIHAN

1) To strengthen educational system.

2) To support government/non-government organisation in educating socially/ economically/ educationally backward masses of the society.

3) To facilitate learning process by providing educational material

4) To sharpen social/vocational/educational skills.

5) To establish and maintain training centers for holistic development of under privileged people from rural and urban society.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED ON BY KRISHNA VRUNDAVAN PRATISHTHAN TO FULFILL THE OBJECTIVES

1) FACULTY SUPPORT:

To solve the problem of scarcity of teacher in -remote location of Maharashtra by providing teachers to the respective schools who reside on the school premises and along with regular teaching give special coaching to the students beyond school hours.

2) MATERIAL SUPPORT:

To support students with English spelling exercise books, question papers and model answer booklet, navneet 21 most likely question sets , phalshruti , library books etc to facilitate learning process

To provide educational CD’s (based on curriculum), L.C.D. Projectors to schools to make education an enjoyable experience

To provide School Sports Equipments to bring about holistic and overall development of students

3) TRAINING SUPPORT:

Head Master! Superintendent Training Program:-

Head master is an administrator of the school. The functioning of the school totally depends on his administration skills. Head master’s working in the schools from remote area have less or no support and have to work in all adverse conditions. Looking at this situation Head Master Training Programs are organised to sharpen their administrative skills and motivate them at our center located at Ambarnath . This center has a capacity of providing lodging and boarding of approximately 250 teachers at a time.

             Teachers Training:

Foundation believes that the teacher plays a vital role in developing and delivering the knowledge to the students. Keeping this in view, to sharpen teaching skills, need based teachers training program are organised.

             Special Coaching for Students:-

It has been observed that the students from government ashram school lacks exposure and require guidance to appear for competitive exams such as board exams. And therefore special subject experts are invited to coach and guide the students.

             Special Vacation Batches for Students of Std X:-

X std is considered as a step and a turning point towards the future of a student. We have been conducting vacation batches during summer vacations and diwali vacations at various Tribal schools which are useful for appearing for their board examinations.

 4) VOCATIONAL TRAINING SUPPORT:

Vocational Training Program for Students:-

Unemployment is becoming a grave problem of our nation. Remote areas many a times have less or no industries leading to no employment opportunities, so to create self-employment vocational training program are orgainsed for the students of the ashram schools.

Vocational Training Program for class IV employees:-

Schools from remote location come across innumerable problems of repairs and maintenance of various gadgets used on the premises. Getting the required experts becomes a difficult task so the class IV employees are given need based vocational training programme and supportive tool-kits. We have given training for carpentry, electricians, mobile repairing , LPG gas handling , motor bike repairing , plumbing , masonry etc. Alongwith the training we also provide the literature for the same.

5) SPECIAL COACHING PROGRAMME IN MATHS AND ENGLISH IN ASHRAM SCHOOLS:

After analysing state board results we came to conclusion that, Tribal students of the ashram schools requires basic knowledge and support in the subject of Maths and English right from standard Vth. Therefore foundation has designed a special coaching program for this two subjects for V to XI  students.

The initial stage of program will be a joyful learning with the help of educational CD’s and then teaching academic content.

6) IMPLEMENTING “STUDENTS HOUSE SYSTEM! KULA PADDHATI”,

“DATTAL PADDHATI “AND VARIOUS OTHER METHODOLOGIES:

It is observed that, being residential ashram schools teaching and non-teaching staff has to shoulder additional burden of students guardianship. Therefore students involvement in educational process and housekeeping process becomes absolute. Keeping this in mind the foundation has decided to establish and implement the student house system(“KuIa Paddhati”) in ashram schools which government has also recognised. This brings a sense of team spirit as well as competitiveness among the students. Apart from this methods such as EACH-ONE TEACH ONE is also implemented with the help of which students are paired and they take orals of their partners for difficult spellings , tables etc Also in Dattak Padhati one bright student adopts few weak students and thereby help them to cope up with their students and also solve their problems.

7) COMPUTER TRAINING AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT:

In today’s computer era teachers find themselves unequipped to train the students. So a special computer training is organised for teachers. Basic knowledge of computer maintenance is also a part of the training program. Government has provided computers in many schools but unfortunately due to various reasons, remains used. The dream of computer education to students so remain only a dream. For realisation of this dream KVP has shouldered the responsibility of maintenance of computers in various ashram schools run by Tribal Development Department.

8) INCENTIVE PROGRAMME:

To acknowledge the achievement of students, teachers, head masters and project officers,various incentives in the form of cash or kind has been given by us at various tribal schools

9) Loan:

We provide interest free loan to students and pay fees of needful children.

10) Hostel Facility:

We have hostel facility for tribal students at Ambarnath where we provide lodging , boarding facility for free and they can pursue their higher study.
